Woah Dave!

In Woah Dave!, players gun for digital glory by slaughtering aliens, stealing their loose change, and racking up the highest score possible. Easier said than done, however, as everything on the map—including your own ammo—is trying to kill you. No one ever said being a Dave was easy.

The brave players who manage to survive the alien onslaught and collect the most coins will be rewarded with top placement on the fierce online leaderboards. Do you have what it takes to be the world’s best Dave? Or will you end up playing second fiddle to another, more powerful Dave?

Woah Dave! also features a local two-player competitive mode, where two Daves can go head-to-head in a battle to collect the most coins. We aren’t exaggerating when we say it could very well result in ruined friendships and unsalvageable marriages. Competitive games are good like that.

If that isn’t enough Dave for you, there’s also Bonkers Mode with more aliens, more lava, and more chances to get killed. Those who brave the storm will be rewarded with a splendor of precious coinage; those who fail will be revoked of their License to Dave.

Good luck, and may the best Dave win.

Holy smokes, everybody. It’s only been a few months since we announced Woah Dave!, and we're already overwhelmed by the positive reception the game has been getting. The kind Tweets, Facebook posts, YouTube comments, et. al mean a lot to us, and I think it’s fair to say that you’re all the wind beneath our game-developing wings. Thank you for that.

We also had the opportunity to show the game off at PAX East, where the reception was equally as positive. People seemed to really like our silly little 2D arcade game, and we even won a “Best of Megabooth” award from Press Pause Radio. It was awesome!

Since people are so excited about the game, I figured it might be a good idea to offer a progress update (because I care, dammit). At this point in time, our focus is on porting the game to a bunch of different platforms. If you haven’t seen any of the announcements, we’ve thus far confirmed that the game will be making its way to 3DS, Vita, iOS, Android, Steam, and OUYA. Which isn’t to say it won’t be releasing on other platforms! That remains to be seen, but it’s something we’re actively looking into. If there's any other platform you'd like to see the game on, let us know!

We’re also hard at work on determining a release date for the game. Although we haven’t figured out an exact date yet, I can tell you that it will definitely be soon. Possibly even this summer!

If you’d like to stay in the loop about all things Dave, be sure to follow the man himself on Twitter! Also, bask in the glory of this gameplay video:
