E3 Day 1 RECAP

Dant Rambo

Posted on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 - 9:25am

If you're reading this, day 1 of E3 is over and we've (hopefully) survived. It was, all in all, a very awesome start to what will most definitely be an awesome show.

For starters, both Sony and Microsoft have finally lifted the curtain on their upcoming platforms. No matter how you feel about either of them, there's no denying it's an exciting time for games -- especially when you factor in how long it's been since The Big Three (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) have announced a new console.

We can't speak for how things are on the Microsoft end, but being in the Sony booth, we've experienced firsthand an absurd amount of people who are excited about where games are headed on both the console and mobile front. And, again, speaking specifically about Sony, it's awesome to see just how pumped people are about "indie games," and more specifically their forthcoming arrival on the PS3, PS4, and Vita.

There was also time to explore other areas of the expo hall, where excitement appeared to be just as high. The lines for most games were obscenely long, and nearly all of the walkways were filled to the brim with people. It made getting around difficult, sure, but it also created a kind of palpable excitement that even Scrooge McDuck couldn't ignore (speaking of which, based on what we had a chance to play, the Duck Tales remake is going to be awesome).

E3 has really only just started, and we'll continue to provide updates on our time at the show, as well as provide some details about how Runner2's Vita version is being received (thus far, people have thoroughly enjoyed it).

Stay tuned!

Miiverse Challenge Draw: Bad Art Edition

Dant Rambo

Posted on Thursday, June 6, 2013 - 4:06pm

For this week's Miiverse Challenge Draw, we tasked everyone with drawing the worst CommanderVideo they possibly could. The competition was heated (seriously, a lot of them were awful), but in the end, we had to go with this piece from Sean:

Isn't it horrible?!

We always knew you were all excellent artists, but now we know that - when you try - you can also be terrible artists. Talk about range!

Tune in next week for another Miiverse Challenge Draw!
