The third and final day of E3 is officially behind us. It was probably the craziest time we had at the event, but then again it was also probably the best. We showed off Runner2 for Vita to a bunch of people, did some interviews, and even managed to play some vidja games!
First things first, we need to address the awesomeness that is Nintendo's upcoming releases. Super Mario 3D World is a gem of a game, and its visuals are downright incredible. The same could be said of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, and Mario Kart 8. Based on the (admittedly brief) time we were able to spend with them, they're all shaping up to be excellent Wii U games.
There was also a lot to enjoy in the Sony area. The Vita section in particular was exciting, as it was filled to the brim with neat-looking upcoming indie games. We had a chance to check out titles such as Tearaway, 1,001 Spikes, Kickbeat, Dragon Fantasy Book II and Spelunky, and it was impossible to walk away without feeling incredibly excited about being a Vita owner.
We wanted to check out some games in the Microsoft area, but the lines were a little intense and we were pressed for time. However, our own Danny Johnson (or Johnny Danson, if you prefer) did manage to try out the upcoming Flashback remake there, and had a good time with it.
If I had to summarize our time at E3 in one sentence, it would be this:
There are a lot of amazing games to look forward to, and Runner2 on the Vita is one of them.

For this week's CHALLENGE DRAW, we asked the Miiverse community to draw a picture of CommanderVideo and CommandgirlVideo on a date. It was a pretty open-ended concept, and as such people took a lot of different (and awesome) approaches to it. However, after much deliberation, we ultimately decided to go with Luv's entry:
Pretty cool, no? And as for everyone else, you did an amazing job! There's not a single bad one in the bunch, I'd say.
CHALLENGE DRAW is a weekly event, so tune in next Wednesday for another installment! There are no prizes for winning, but we hope that the fun you have while drawing is a reward in and of itself.
UNTIL NEXT TIME.
Holy video games, Batman! The second day of E3 has concluded, and while the soles of our feet may be sore, we're still in incredibly high spirits. The public debut of Runner2 on the Vita has gone very well so far, and E3 in general has been an absolute blast. We've played some games, we've consumed some beers, and we've even had pizza with salad on top (before you ask, it was awful).
For those curious about the E3 experience, here's a basic breakdown of what we've been up to:
- Hanging out by the kiosk and answering any questions that players have
- Conducting interviews with the press
- Chatting it up with other indie developers
- Checking out what all E3 has to offer
- Trying to forget about the salad pizza
It's tiring, sure, but it's also a ton of fun. I mean, we're completely surrounded by awesome, upcoming video games all day -- what's not to like?! And speaking of upcoming games, we're pretty sure this one in particular is going to be raking in absurd amounts of game of the year awards:
To summarize everything: People seem to be really liking Runner2's Vita port, we've had a lot of fun running around E3 and playing games, and we never want to eat a salad pizza again.
Tomorrow's the final day of the show, and you can expect a forthcoming recap of that as well! Probably after it happens. That would make sense.
- Dant, Danny, and Chris.
