Hey everyone! It's time to reveal this week's Miiverse Challenge Draw winner. For those who missed it or don't own a Wii U, the challenge was to draw a BIT.TRIP character in the form of a piece of fruit. Pretty serious subject matter, we know.
As always, we were blown away by all the awesome submissions we received, and picking a winner was about as hard as picking a favorite doughnut (maple bar, if you must know). But, ultimately, we had to go with Onery's wonderful drawing of CommanderVideo as an apple!:
Time permitting, we recommend firing up the Miiverse and checking out the rest of the submissions. It's probably the only chance you'll ever get to see CommanderVideo in pineapple form, unless we randomly decide to make a game about fruit down the road.
If you have a Wii U and like to draw, we encourage you to participate in next week's Challenge Draw (and the one the week after that, and so on and so forth)! There are no prizes, unless you count the fame that comes with being written about on this here blog. Seriously, last week's winner has since become best friends with people like Danny DeVito and Hoggle from Labyrinth.
Say, do you know what a Challenge Draw is? It's a weekly event where we challenge the Runner2 Miiverse community with drawing cool images based on a specific theme or premise. Our latest Challenge Draw -- which we kicked off yesterday morning -- tasked artists with drawing a picture of CommanderVideo on one of his days off. After much internal debate and indecision, we finally managed to pick a winner:
If you're bummed you didn't win, worry not! As mentioned above, we'll be holding a new Challenge Draw every week -- they'll begin on Wednesday mornings at 10 AM PST, and end 24 hours later. We'll kick off each event by making a post in the Runner2 Miiverse community, and all you have to do to enter is leave your drawing as a comment to that post. There are no prizes (beyond bragging rights and a post on this here blog), but we like to think the fun you'll have while drawing the image is a prize in and of itself.
Hello, Gaijin fans! My name is Dant Rambo, and I recently joined Gaijin Games to -- amongst other things -- interact with all you videogame enthusiasts and keep you in the loop about all the cool projects the studio is working on. I can't spill the beans just yet, but trust me when I say that amazing things are on the horizon.
So, what exactly does this mean for you? Well for one thing, you can expect both this site and the Runner2 dev blog to be updated on a more regular basis. I'll also be hanging out in the forums during all hours of the day, not to mention our many social media haunts.
I don't want to get too inside baseball here, but let's just say that my goals are:
- To make sure all of you wonderful people are heard.
- To keep you informed of all the cool projects Gaijin Games has in the works.
- To give you a glimpse into what it's like to be a part of this studio.
- To write lists that contain exactly four things.
You'll have a better idea of what I mean in the days ahead. But for now, if you have any questions or comments for myself or other members of the team (even if it's just a question about how to grill the perfect burger), feel free to contact the Gaijin brain trust at...drumroll... firstname.lastname@example.org
Let's be friends!
